Symptom Finder

Pick your main area of pain or concern. We'll show you the conditions that commonly match and the physiotherapy service that usually treats them - not a diagnosis, just a starting point.

How to use this tool

Find the card below that best matches where your problem is. Each card lists the conditions most often seen in Melaka physiotherapy clinics for that body area, plus the service type that usually handles them. Click any condition to read what it is, how it's assessed, and what rehab typically looks like locally.

This is a signposting aid, not a diagnosis. Physiotherapists in Malaysia work under the Allied Health Professions Act 2016 and a proper assessment involves a history, physical examination, and where needed, referral for imaging or specialist opinion. If you're unsure which card fits, WhatsApp us a one-line description and we'll point you to the right service.

When to skip physio and seek urgent care first

Some symptoms need medical attention before any physiotherapy assessment. Go to a hospital emergency department (Hospital Melaka, Hospital Pantai Ayer Keroh, Mahkota Medical Centre) if you have: sudden severe weakness or numbness in an arm or leg, loss of bladder or bowel control with back pain (cauda equina red flag), chest pain with your neck or shoulder symptoms, unexplained weight loss with night pain, a recent significant fall with inability to bear weight, or any injury with visible deformity. These are not physiotherapy-first presentations.

For musculoskeletal pain that doesn't fit those red flags - stiff necks, sore knees from weekend sport, back pain that's been grumbling for a week, shoulder trouble that's stopping you sleeping - the cards below are a reasonable starting point.
